Improves Your Computer or Server’s Performance and Storage Capabilities
This U.2 to PCI Express (PCIe) adapter connects a U.2 SSD or a 2.5-inch SATA SSD or HDD to your computer or server’s PCIe expansion slot. By converting a PCIe (SFF-8639) host interface, you can add terabytes (TB) of internal storage space and enhance your PC’s read/write speeds. The adapter is compatible with PCIe 3.0 motherboards. It is also backward compatible with earlier 2.0 and 1.0 versions.
Add an Optional M.2 Adapter for Expanded Functionality
The PCE-U2-PX4 is compatible with P970-U2M2 U.2 to M.2 NVMe adapter (sold separately) to convert the PCIe expansion slot into an M.2 SSD module.
Just Plug and Play with No External Power Needed
Use the included 7-pin SATA cable to connect the PCE-U2-PX4 to the motherboard. No additional software or power is needed. The adapter is compatible with Windows (7 and higher) and macOS (High Sierra and higher).
System Requirements
- U.2 (SFF-8639) SSD and 2.5" SATA I/II/III SSD/HDD
- M.2 modules like B+M Key SATA M.2 SSD and M-Key NVMe M.2 SSD (2242, 2260 and 2280 SSD sizes) when combined with P970-U2M2
- Compatible PCIe motherboard with open x4/x8/x16 slot
- Windows 7 and above or macOS High Sierra and above (older macOS versions do not support NVMe)
