Important Note

For longer extension distances, use a B126-1A0 or B126-1A0-WP-1 active receiver to extend a 1080p (60 Hz) signal up to 150 feet, extend a 1080i (60 Hz) signal up to 200 feet or extend a 3D signal up to 125 feet. For shorter distances, use a B126-1P0 passive receiver to extend a 1080p (60 Hz) signal up to 50 feet or extend a 1080i (60 Hz) signal up to 100 feet. Further extend the signal range or add more displays by using a B126-110 Remote Repeater unit to add up to three repeaters on each channel of the B126-002 for a total of four displays per channel (a receiver should be the last unit in a channel), extend a 1080p (60 Hz) signal up to 125 feet for each repeater added into a channel, extend a 1080i (60 Hz) signal up to 175 feet for each repeater added into a channel or extend a 3D signal up to 100 feet for each repeater added into a channel.

Overview

The B126-002 2-Port HDMI over Cat5/Cat6 Extender/Splitter works with B126-Series remote receivers to split a single HDMI audio/video signal into two separate signals. It's ideal for digital signs, trade shows, presentations, retail settings and other applications where the video source is located farther than conventional cables allow or that require multiple displays connected to one source. It uses HDMI cable (see P568-Series) to connect to the source and Cat5e/6 cable to transmit to the remote monitors (for best results, use 24 AWG solid-wire Cat5e/6 cable, such as N202-Series).

When used with B126-1A0 or B126-1A0-WP-1 active remote receivers, the Extender/Splitter can extend a 1080i (60 Hz) signal up to 200 feet (61 meters), a 1080p signal (60 Hz) up to 150 feet (45.7 meters) and a 3D signal up to 125 feet (38.1 meters). With a B126-1P0 or B126-1P0-WP-1 passive remote receiver, it can extend a 1080i (60 Hz) signal up to 100 feet (30.5 meters) and a 1080p (60 Hz) signal up to 50 feet (15.2 meters). Add up to three B126-110 remote repeaters to each channel to fully extend the signal range or add more displays.

In addition to crystal-clear video, the B126-002 delivers full, rich stereo and 7.1-channel surround sound (multi-channel or PCM) audio. Easy to set up with no software or drivers to install. Mounts to a wall, rack or pole using the included hardware.

Questions & Answers

Can I use B126-series extenders to patch through my patch panel and wall plates to connect to a remote TV?

No. The Cat5e/6 connection between the B126 Transmitter and Receiver has to be a single, point-to-point patch cable, made with solid conductor wire, per the Owner's Manual. Patching through patch panels, wall jacks and stranded conductor patch cables create multiple points of signal attenuation (loss), causing the HDMI signal to degrade to the point where the Receiver will not recognize it.
