A Combined 30W of Charging Power Feeds Your Power-Hungry Devices
When used together, the USB-C and USB-A ports support up to 30W of charging power. The USB-C PD 3.0 port can support up to 18W (5V 3A or 9V 2A) to keep mobile devices at capacity. The USB-A port can support up to 12W (5V 2.4A) to reliably charge smartphones and tablets.

In practical terms, yes. Older cars have cigarette lighter sockets that can power your electronics. More modern cars have 12V DC Auxiliary Power Outlets that power electronics but should NOT be used with a cigarette lighter. You can use an accessory plug with either an old or new outlet.
